Landfill operators face growing challenges in managing leachate responsibly, both from an environmental and economic standpoint. In collaboration with Klarwin, Salttech has successfully implemented Dyvar® technology to take landfill leachate treatment a step further, reducing waste volumes and disposal costs while unlocking new levels of performance.
Klarwin’s approach uses reverse osmosis membranes to separate clean water from contaminants in landfill leachate. While this significantly reduces liquid waste, the resulting RO concentrate remains highly challenging to handle due to its salinity and organic load.
To address this, Salttech’s Dyvar® system was deployed to further concentrate the RO reject. By pushing the concentrate beyond the crystallization point, Dyvar enables landfill operators to drastically minimize the final waste stream, making sustainable leachate management more viable than ever.
