Salttech ‘s client was exploring possibilities to improve their current treatment capacity. Issues with the currently used evaporator and crystallizer causes the need for exploring alternative treatment methods.
During a multiple day pilot trial with the Dyvar®-1 unit the raw washing water has been successfully treated, resulting in substantially volume reduction of 92% and separation of solids during stable Dyvar® operation. Through water quality results obtained of the produced condensate and brine it was concluded that the Dyvar® is able to effectively realize near Zero Liquid Discharge.
